Anna Lee Lipman was born in Auckland, New Zealand, and grew up in Canada. She studied art at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and graphic design at Honolulu Community College in Hawaii. She worked in publications as a graphic artist in Honolulu, Hawaii and later moved to Granby, Massachusetts where she taught in the Massachusetts public schools for 11 years.
Anna Lee currently lives in Steamboat Springs, Colorado with her husband Vic, and her two daughters.
The observation of nature and design in nature are reflected in my work. The differing moods of color, light and atmosphere are common themes. My primary goal as an artist is to clearly communicate these concerns through various printmaking media. Ideas for these images are often derived from the natural world or the world in which we live and work.
